I was set an assignment I couldn’t refuse by the National Theatre of Wales to photograph the spirit of Swansea in 24 hours starting from midday last Saturday for their upcoming play, ‘Little Dogs‘ (ntw19)
I visited the indoor market in the day,the Grape & Olive restaurant at meridian tower for a cityscape shot in the evening, then on to Wind Street to capture the party people and Swansea’s vibrant nightlife.
Extra special thanks goes to Lia Moutselou and Chris Harris for assisting me on this mini trip and taking numerous shots in this Nightlife collection.

This week sees the last chance to catch the National Theatre of Wales’, The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning (ntw18) in North Wales.
Bradley Manning is the 24-year old US soldier accused of releasing 250,000 secret embassy cables and military logs from the Iraq and Afghan wars. After nearly two years in prison without charge, Manning now faces a court martial, accused of crimes that could mean life in prison.
For more info on the current situation click here for the Free Bradley Manning site.
This excellent piece of poignant, poltical theatre will be taking place at Connah’s Quay High School from the 25th- 28th April.
If you’re lucky enough to get a ticket, you will not be dissapointed.
This piece of theatre can also be viewed live on-line here, if you don’t manage to get to North Wales.
Also click here to view Marc Heatley‘s infographic video of Bradley Manning’s story.
My role in this production was to photograph the final rehearsals at G39 in Cardiff and to venture around the city getting people to write on a yellow board with subjects they would want to protest about or subjects they simply felt passionate about – which included the actors/ntw staff.
Rehearsal Shots
Taken at G39, Cardiff.
Yellow board photographs
Includes actors/ntw staff and Cardiff’s general public

Attended the soundcheck of this British folk trio before their gig at Islington’s Union Chapel last night in London town.
My father has been lucky enough to drive Robin around the UK, selling the musicians merchandise and view/listen to each gig on this mini tour.
Last night saw Wizz Jones join the duo as a special edition to the show whilst there are four more dates this week to catch John & Robin.
Tonight they’re playing The Lowry in Salford and here’s a link to their remaining gigs.
