This Easter weekend Port Talbot’s Aberafan Shopping Centre hosts an exhibition of the Passion, last year’s monumental theatre piece; with artwork, people’s memories and impressions of the play.
This time last year Michael Sheen and the National Theatre of Wales staged a 72 hour live performance which involved the whole community of Port Talbot.
People will no doubt descend on Port Talbot again this weekend to view the array of artwork on show and have a chance to relay their experiences of the event in person and also record their memories through video and written word.
Here’s a snippet of the shopping centre’s gallery and a few of the NTW staff and volunteers who made this exhibition all possible.
Here’s my contribution to the exhibition of a portrait of Michael Sheen which was used to make this stencil produced by Lloyd Roberts for numerous street art grafs and various Passion publicity.

Michael Sheen will attend a Q&A session hosted by the Royal Television Society at the exhibition at 2.30pm on Easter Sunday. This event will be FREE.
Plus the lucky ones who’ve got a ticket will enjoy the World Premiere screening of ‘The Gospel of Us‘ film showing on all the screens at the Apollo Cinema from 8pm.
The ‘Gospel of Us’ is written by Owen Sheers and click here for a report of the book and the passion play from the Guardian.
